Let's say I enjoyed this miniseries but am curious as to why a 164 minute show only is 124 minutes long

I throughly enjoyed the show but can't understand why 40 minutes was chopped from the show According to the blurb found in Wikipedia the show is a sequel to 10.5 It is suPosed to be two parts When viewing it on MY FAMILY CINEMA says it's a TWO parter They say the show is 164 minutes long but in reality it is only 124 minutes long From the blurb there seems that the first part was cut from the miniseries and only the second part was shown But why would MFC say it's in two parts then and not show the first part which seems to be the missing 24 minutes Never the less I loved the show Kept me on my nails all the way through Still the missingbz24 minutes is perturbing.
