- TriviaThe Gloucester Fisherman's Memorial, popularly known "The Man at the Wheel," was designed by Leonard Craske and cast in 1925. It was commissioned as part of Gloucester's tercentenary celebration. The bronze helmsman is eight feet tall and stares out to the sea from Stacy Boulevard. The sculpture is on the National Register of Historic Places.
