When the gym teacher chases Ms Malkin and the kids through the Magic Land parking lot he's almost hit by a beige car pulling out of a spot. In the next shot the car is nowhere to be seen. In another angle the car is replaced by a red one.
A Tuatara is not a lizard, they are a completely different order of reptiles and the only species of Rhynchocephalia.
Tuataras are not native to Florida (or even North America), so it's very unlikely Leo would meet any in the Everglades.
As Leo remembers back through the years, one of his memories shows the class watching the first moon landing on TV in November 1969, even though the actual date of the landing was July 20th 1969. There would have been no classes in July. However, one could make the argument that footage of the moon landing was replayed during school as a topic of interest to cover during class.
