A lot of people don't seem to know that TAWOG is in fact a British show. It takes place in America and was obviously marketed towards them. This episode features a collaboration with a British puppet company in what is probably the most British episode of the show ever. This ep features Gumball and Darwin looking in the attic at their old toys. We get a great gag with a "Bop it!" parody. Anyway, they come across their old puppets and Darwin becomes attached to them in most senses of the word. I laughed when he used the puppets to beat up Gumball.
I guess it's implied they have minds of their own as Gumball takes the third one and is transported to a magical land of puppets. We get awesome visuals and great gags as we go into this puppet world. One great bit is when Darwin looks down and sees greenscreen puppeteers on himself. It actually is kind of frightening to see these puppets want to play with Gumball and Darwin forever. I love the parts where it shows pixellation of Darwin's feet. That's the only part of his body that's normally covered and even Gumball points this out. ****
