This film idea was created by Dirk Ellis a year and a half before it was filmed. This was right around the time the iPhone 6 and 6+ had been released. Dirk was sitting with some friends on a film set and they started talking about their phones. Dirk released and mentioned it sound like they were each talking about their personal "sizes" when they all started laughing, continued improv with each other under this idea, thus a film idea was created.
The film was shot Guerrilla style. The park was scouted days before and came up empty with no locals. No permit was purchased to shoot the one day film. This turned out to be a near disaster as the park was full of kids that day as well as a youth baseball tournament was going on in the filed right next to the park. The cast and crew had to tolerate yelling kids running in and out of set and continuity issues with cars pulling in and out of the parking lot just behind the scene. They even had to do with loud ice cream trucks.
At exactly 2 minutes into the film, just as the big truck is running over the cone in the background, if you look closely in the lop left corner of the film, you can see someone with pink shoes standing behind a tree. That was actress Ashley Caple who played the role of one of the park girls keeping traffic held for a few seconds while crew got the shot of the truck parking.
This film took exactly one day to film. Starting around 10:30 in the morning and end just around sunset at 5:30-6pm.
The park table the cast sat in for the film was fairly light weight. At one point the table almost fell over backwards as all 4 male actors sat and acted the scene.
