Guy Pearce in Disturbing the Peace (2020)

Goofs

Disturbing the Peace

Edit

Continuity

The sniper racks the bolt on his rifle when he first gets in position. Later, the deputy racks the bolt again, but no shell comes out. Presumably the gun would have been loaded after the first time.
When the armored car pulls up alongside the police car outside of Horse Cave, the police car is a gold colored with county sheriff markings. In one shot the car is unmarked grey sedan before reverting gold and marked.

Factual errors

The police officer who is murdered by the gang is consistently described as a state trooper. However, he is driving a car marked hart County Sheriff, rather than a state police car.
The lead character is a United States Marshal (as shown by the sign on his office door, the sign over his desk, and the badge he wears). He is not a Town Marshal. US Marshals are not responsible for local policing, nor are they answerable to the town mayor or the board of supervisors. The scene where the acting mayor calls him 'Town Marshal', scolds him, and says his job is at risk is nonsense.

The error is making him a US Marshal, the script would all make sense if he were a Town Marshal.
When the gang member opens the bank vault to show all the stacks of $20s all the serial numbers are the same on every bill.

Incorrectly regarded as goofs

Despite all the gunfire and explosions, absolutely no residents are seen fleeing the area, which they would certainly have done.

More likely, people would come running to see the action.
At the beginning, the officer tells Steve "to take the shot". A few minutes later, it says that officer Steve Lucas died from a gunshot wound he suffered 10 years ago.

At the beginning, in the flashback prologue, Steve took the shot and crippled his partner, who lived. Ten years later, the partner died.

Plot holes

When they are robbing the armored truck there is nothing blocking the truck especially from backing up. He could have backed up or possibly gone forward as well. The robbers already killed his partner. He is in a bullet proof tank. Why wouldn't the driver just take off even if he has to run over the thieves that just killed his partner? Why would he just sit there and allow them to put explosives on the back door? There was nothing disabling the truck from driving.
