Hailey is still in Venice now working as Alessandra's dresser and Girl Friday as Alessandra and Rodrigo prepare for Alessandra's comeback concert. Despite the rehearsals going well, Alessandra and by association Rodrigo have to deal with the issues that kept Alessandra off the stage for those four years. They also have to deal with life after the concert, reports which have hit the media, even all the way back in New York. Hailey receives a surprise visit by someone from the States, he who makes an admission to her, the aftermath which is only amplified by an earlier discussion between Hailey and Rodrigo which at its core was the passion to work and music. Meanwhile back in New York, some of the orchestra members are going to extreme measures to make money to live, while donors are abandoning the organization with each successive day of the lockout, threatening the very existence of the organization and the orchestra. As such, the Mayor convenes both sides together to use his unusual form of mediation, which in this case may or may not work.
