On August 30, 1969, a warrior tribe living in the Peruvian Amazon heard a voice echoing down from the sky - an airplane with speakers strapped to its wings. 'God' was trying to arrive in the rain forest, in the guise of two evangelist missionaries from the USA. Contact soon took place and the Matses were to become one of the last 'pacified indigenous peoples' of the Peruvian Amazon. But 40 years on, is the story still over? One of the community's leading figures believes that even though the original evangelists have now left, their religious presence continues to overwhelm his people. This documentary short film exposes an 'invisible' cultural war and follows events surrounding an ancient war ceremony.
