The RWBY Chibi segments are great riffs on the original series. Ranging from "Dad Jokes" to "The Floor is Lava," the spinoff is super fun and to me, it is more entertaining than the main series. The main series is great, but the humor and laid back, tongue-in-cheek delivery makes Chibi exceptional. Also, pretending Pyrrha never died is just a nice stab at their own pathos.

They made RWBY too childish

I only watched it for 3 minutes and hated it already. They dumb this show down for children under 10 years old. Unlike the original RWBY, there were barely any action and replaced the action and adventure with childish comedy.
First off, Ruby was trying to bake cookies. When she couldn't figured it out, she just ate a bag of chocolate chips instead of asking help. Then, she was reading Blake's book. When Blake came into their bedroom, she couldn't find it. When Blake found it, Ruby rudely told her that the book was trash. Ruby would never respect her team mates on purpose in the original series.
