As a lifelong fan, this is a great in-depth dive into the end of the relationship with Warner Bros. and the post-WB years.
I lived through these years as a fan, and they were sometimes excruciatingly frustrating, but halfway through this I thought to myself, "Prince was right."
He was ahead of the curve and prescient in not only his art, but in his relationship with the recording industry.
