It's a great show
LDonin24 August 2018
In short, the show is great, the animations are very creative and colorful, it has many elements of Olan Roger's previous show and also a lot of references, (btw I believe the episodes are still on youtube). Although it is a Sci-fi show, and it does delve into existential questions, so, naturally a lot of people may think it is like Rick and Morty, there are a lot of comparisons online, but they're to different shows, very different. There are some really respectable choices Olan makes in the story, and the characters are really engaging, unfortunately there are only a few episodes, but, there may be a 2nd season. Anyway, I highly recommend it.

Seriously, keep watching.

What starts as just another goofball cartoon along the lines of Futurerama becomes a brilliantly witty and cleverly pungent masterwork, that in my opinion even holds it's ground against the likes of Rick and Morty, but with far more heart.

Great

Love this tv show, it's sad that it ended. Great story, characters. Intros in the first season were a great idea, a depressing start into a fun adventure.

Please bring back

When Final Space first debuted on TBS it was literally the only thing of Value on the entire channel. It was funny, dramatic, knew when to be subtle, knew when to be heavy, and it was amazing. It became so good that the people behind it decided to air it on two channels. Those channels being TBS and Cartoon Network's Adult Swim. The Second season was even better than the first. Unfortunately, the third season wasn't as funny and focused a little too heavily on drama. The third season wasn't bad by any definition, but it was enough to make the unintelligent people in charge of Warner Brothers decide to cancel it to make room in the budget for the disaster known as Velma. This show needs a comeback and have it's originally planned six seasons.

This needs a proper ending

Warning: Spoilers
Rarely has a show gripped me and never let go like this has. The first season starts off slower, as a goofy space-parody with plenty of fun and excitement (and bad jokes you just have to laugh at), but once the second season begins the show takes off into a roller-coaster ride of emotions and plot twists. There is a lot of love in the making of Final Space, a desire of creator Olan Rogers to see it grow to its full potential. And grow it does, into arguably one of the best sci-fi shows ever made.

Final Space is not just a visual marvel but a creative masterpiece. The music is stunning, especially in those moments when the action slows enough to notice it. The story is original, well written, and full of twists that seem to make impossible odds seem even more impossible. The humor covers everything from slapstick to dad jokes and terrible puns but its lighthearted enough that when it misses one does not dwell on it and when it hits it feels wholesome and authentic. The VA is top notch - great casting choices, great dialogue. The colors and effects are dazzling at times and never bland, seeming to reflect the show's very mood and the situation the characters find themselves in. Lastly, the characters are all memorable and take turns standing out. The interactions between Gary and his dad are easily my favorite part of the show, and easily the best representation of a healthy father-son relationship that i have seen in recent years. If you watch nothing else from Final Space, watch that one scene.

This show deserves a proper ending. It deserves better than finishing on a cliffhanger.

It took several attempts to get past the first few episodes but this is one of the best shows on Netflix, It has everything, Slap stick comedy, Romance, Family loss, Epic battles, The story is deep and brilliantly written. Characters develop well over the episodes and through the story, This is an amazing show.

Stick with it. Would rate an 8.5

It takes a little while to get into. The first season feels like they are trying to find their footing. But once they get going the story telling is really great. Gets the perfect balance of funny and emotional. Very easy watching. Really sad it's been cancelled, I hope someone picks it up and gives the show the ending it deserves.

It's shouldn't be a comedy

There is no problem in interspersing comedy elements into any anim ated series, however A great animation has been ruined by inserting jokes in the wrong scenes (literally all scenes). You have a great scenario and an art team but you're wasting all to put it into a cheap comedy genre.

There's not a lot of good stuff coming out at this level, and almost all of the animated series coming out in the United States are comedies, as if that's an unwritten rule.

Also soundtracks are so beautiful and convenient with any drama & action series.

-Awesome scenario -Awesome visual and auditory art -Awesome characters -The worst comedy elements I've ever seen.

Warning: Spoilers
"Final Space" is an American animated short film from 2016 that runs for a bit over 7 minutes and was written and directed by Olan Rogers and he also appears as a voice actor in here, für several characters actually. The tone and style of comedy, also the setting reminded me a bit of Futurama here, but certainly not as refined. If they really want to transition this one into a decent television show, then they still have some work to do. Plot, characters, maybe voice acting too and locations are not yet good enough judging from this one here, even if I would say that the premise is there, the possibility for a decent show, it's not a lost cause, but one example would be that obscenities are fine, but they really need to be on a level where they entertain, otherwise they are pretty bad in my opinion and feel very forced and uninspired. Just one reference from me. There are other production values that definitely need improving. if they actually manage to step things up, then I'm in for the watch. But for this one here, at this point, my suggestion is to skip it and go for something else instead.
