Compelling short mystery film about the deep rooted desire to finding the truth.

The film captures your intrigue from the opening scene. It is about the mystery surrounding a daughter that has vanished and is presumed dead. But as the film progresses, it seems that things are much more sinister as they first appear. Each subsequent scene gives you another piece of the puzzle, with a twist at the end of the film that is very chilling and disturbing.

The film has a great moody atmosphere in both the tone of the story and also visually, with great direction from the director, and great acting.

The storyline is very well written and touches on multiple human experiences, such as the overpowering and relentless pursuit of finding out the truth, grief, sadness, and the dark side of human nature.

I had goosebumps whilst watching this film.

After the film, you will want someone else to watch it too, just so you have someone to discuss the ending with.

The Verity Review

A chilling tale of what happens when dark secrets are unearthed in a middle England family. Full of surprising twists and turns that are usually not seen in the short film medium. In this short film there is effective cinematography, an interesting story, it is well casted and acted, looks nicely shot with interesting and realistic locations. The suspense builds throughout the film which leads to a very disturbing eery atmosphere and an unexpected ending. A really good short film all in all. Great work Lyndon. Looking forward to seeing more of your work. Best of luck with your upcoming feature film!

Suspense short film that will keep you guessing until the very end...

Years after her daughter disappeared and is presumed dead, Annabelle finds mysterious notes on Sarah's grave that give her disturbing clues suggesting that she may still be alive.

The film starts with Annabelle and her sister frantically discussing their discoveries, desperate to reveal the truth.

The culprit we suspect behind the notes, keeps altering in our minds throughout. This maintains a sense of tension for the duration of the film, alongside diverging the disturbing and often overlooked sense of doubt in trusting the people we think we know best.

The eerie atmosphere the director creates, pulls us into the unknown, as we put the pieces together to try and solve this mental puzzle.

Can we see the truth by approaching people with suspicion? Or do we begin to create a non-existent reality in our minds by doing so?

How far can we go to find the truth?

Does grief ever end?

In as little as 14 minutes, the director succeeds in making the audience question their thoughts.

This film should be watched with the viewer's full attention, in order to not miss the vital clues that are hidden in the detail.

This is a successful film, from its direction and acting through to the soundtrack. You may be taken aback if the ending contradicts your assumptions...because 'Sometimes the truth just never finds a way of getting through...'
