On the topic of History's Greatest Man-Made Structure, the six up for consideration between Craig and the panelists - contractor
Ty Pennington, comedian
Noel Wells and actor
Adam Goldberg - are: the Brooklyn Bridge; the Eiffel Tower; the Hoover Dam; the Empire State Building; the Pyramids at Giza; and the Great Wall of China. The panelists have a difficult discussion in choosing the greatest between these six, whose purposes, raisons d'etre, emotional connectedness to the global public, and primary reasons for considered being great are all vastly different. They have to decide whether any one of these reasons should take precedent over the others. They do agree that longevity should be considered, namely if the structure was built to last for its use, and debate whether an interesting back story to the structure should play into their reasoning. Ultimately they do decide that one of those factors perhaps should not, but does trump all the others whether they want it to or not. Emerging from the discussion is whether structures not built by humans should also have been included. They also mention structures that did not make the list but perhaps should have.
