Jorge Bolívar in real life is Jorge Bacardi, heir to the world famous beverage brand. He and his wife Leslie helped to finance the film, but sadly Jorge died in September 2020, just before the film was released.

Chris had previously previously been diagnosed as brain dead, when his mother picked up his hand from the hospital bed. She was waiting for the oldest son to arrive. Chris grasped his mother's hand when she picked up his hand then he let his fingers relax. He wouldn't have been able to do this if he was brain dead.
