DC's Legends of Tomorrow

Edit

Factual errors

"Marty" identifies Boris' watch as something issued by the Soviet Union's Ministry of Defense.

KGB was under the Ministry of the Interior.
Every time a firearm is seen, a gun cocking sound is heard. Many of the weapons shown would be carried in a ready to fire mode negating the need to cock them. Most of the people shown carrying them were professional or trained shooters, such as Secret Service agents, who would not carry their weapon in a manner that required it to be cocked to fire. This same sound effect is used in error in many series by those unfamiliar with firearms.

Anachronisms

In the Channel 52 Breaking news segment a photo of the White House is shown with a police cruiser parked in front. The car is a 1998 or newer Ford Crown Victoria.
When Steel asks Obsidian and Vixen to go to get a beer, Obsidian says he can't because he's watching his carbs. The Atkins diet, the first one to introduce carb counting as a way to lose weight, didn't gain popularity until the mid 1990s.

Plot holes

The Legends walk freely about the White House in secure areas without ID badges, yet no one challenges them. Similarly, they are able to bring weapons (a metal knife and the heat & cold guns) inside the secured area. By 1987, security was heightened since President Reagan had survived an assassination attempt in 1981.
When the team goes to 1987 Washington Stein should have remembered that his younger self got stabbed, yet he didn't say anything to the team.
Stein's younger self is stabbed and Stein in current time has blood on his sweater from the stab wound. In fact, he would only have a scar that was mentioned later.

Character error

The Marine honor guard seen when the team first arrives at the White House looks like he is in his mid, maybe late 20's, at the most. However he is wearing the rank insignia of a Sergeant Major, the second highest enlisted rank in the Marine Corps, on average it takes over 20 years to achieve this rank. In addition the hash marks on his lower sleeve indicate 28 years of service. So it would be unheard of for someone so young to achieve such a high rank. And considering his age, it would be impossible for him to have that many hash marks, as each one indicates four years of service.
When Jax mentions Doc Brown from Back to the Future (1985), Professor Stein is confused as to who the character is. But in "The Justice Society of America (2016)", Stein quotes Marty McFly from the same film; if he knows the movie well enough to quote Marty, he should be aware of who Doc Brown is, too.
Mikhail Gorbachev was not referred to as the "Secretary-General" of the CPSU (Communist Party of the Soviet Union), but as the "General Secretary" of the CPSU.
