Leah Renee, Niall Matter, and Gracyn Shinyei in Falling for Christmas (2016)

Goofs

Falling for Christmas

Edit

Factual errors

At the beginning of the film, the announcer identifies Claire's final jump that she ends up missing as a triple axel. Axel jumps have a forward entry. Claire is rotating around to create momentum and she is facing backwards when she takes off for the jump. It looks like she's doing either a toe-loop or lutz jump (can't see her feet to be sure).
Claire's final jump in her program at National's is once again identified as a triple axel. You can clearly see that it is only a double loop jump (she takes off on the edge of her skate while travelling backwards and only does two revolutions).

Revealing mistakes

The movie takes place just before Christmas, and it was shot in the winter. However, there is a small difference between mid December and late February / early March - you can hear loud singing by singing birds in the outdoor scenes, and they don't sing between early autumn and late February or early March. Because movie was shot between the late February and early March you can hear them. Furthermore, there is one scene when male blackbird flies in, and sings.
