- A Marathi short film about a young widow's first day as a police constable in rural India.
- Vrunda Jagdale is like any other home-maker in rural Maharashtra, India. She probably wanted nothing more than to spend her life with her loving husband in their humble setting. But destiny had other plans.
To Jod' (That Pair) is about the culmination of that plan in a single day. It is a story of a 26-year-old widow, whose husband has been killed in the line of duty. He was a police constable.
Since he was the sole breadwinner of the family, it has now fallen upon her to earn the livelihood for her family.
As it is, in India, the policies of the police forces allow that - if interested - the next-of-kin be given the deceased persons job. Out of necessity and desperation, she has ended up taking the job of police constable. It is the story of her first day unfolding on her job.
It is her first day in her husbands shoes. Quite literally.
