i may be 36 but with all the death and pain in the world this show is lovely. follow Wissper and her friends on little inoffensive adventures. We have Herbert the horse, Monty the Merecat, Gerti the giraffe, Ed and Ted the beavers, Hayley and Marcus the mice, Kev the crocodile, then there's dad and mom and the elephant, Dan the Panda, Peggy penguin, osier the oxbird, mrs turnip the piggy and her kids, wissper can talk to the animals and rescues them with her big lovely eyes and magic bag. love it. its on channel 5 on milkshake before work, only on for a few minutes but its blissful. i wish i had kids so i could pretend its on for them not me lol

This was rated 5.6 on IMDB at the time of posting this review, with 42 ratings and only 1 other review (also a 10/10). In a world where shows, movies and products get engineered clout and positive reviews, only to disappoint with the first episode, the makers of Wissper have made no such effort, and it shows. My 2 year old really enjoys the show and copies the little girl ("Shhh!"). The animation and special effects are good - certainly this is a 21st century production so much better look than 80s cartoons. I've not made much effort to research how pedagogically sound the show is, but certainly the girl is more respectful to her parents and her surroundings than eg Peppa Pig.

What's not to like? It's an adorable little show about a little girl who can talk to animals and uses that power to help them, along with some key animal friends. It's very cute and sweet and the girl's mom and dad are sweet and she is kind to her family and others. Don't understand the lower rating. My 5yo, who is panda and animal crazy, absolutely adores this show and I enjoy watching it with her. It even has av cute and catchy little theme song and intro and my daughter loves saying "Shhhh...." like Wissper and pretending she is her.

Wissper is not only kind but also clever, and the animals she helps are all in some bit of innocent trouble and she engineers a way to help them along with the animal helper friend of her choosing.
