A man becomes romantically obsessed with his friend's wife as she reminds him of his deceased girlfriend.

Hemanth (Sharath Babu) and Veena (Suhasini) are a happily married couple with Hemanth working for an advertising firm. One day, Hemanth's childhood friend, Abhishek Bharadwaj who is a poet, visits them and stays with them. Abhishek is depressed as his girlfriend(Nivedita Jain) died of cancer. Veena is a very friendly person and befriends Abhishek. She takes good care of him. But he becomes obsessed with Veena. Hemanth eventually learns about his friend's feelings for Veena but does not say anything.

Hemanth takes his work staff on a trip to a hill station. Veena and Abhishek too accompany him. Veena notices Hemanth is worried about something, but when she confronts him, Hemanth brushes her off and asks her not to worry. One morning, at a nearby cliff, Hemanth playfully pushes Veena towards the edge of the cliff. Abhishek gets worried and screams to not push her. Hemanth then assures him that he will not lose his wife so easily. That evening, Hemanth takes off to the cliff to take a sunset photo. Abhishek accompanies him in the car.

On top of the cliff, Hemanth confronts Abhishek about his feelings for Veena and asks him to go back home. He tells Abhishek that he is disappointed in him and it would be best he left immediately, since he didn't want to reveal Abhishek's feelings to Veena. Hemanth then gets out of the car to take a sunset picture. Abhishek starts the car and hits Hemanth pushing him down the cliff. He does not try to save him, though he could have.

Abhishek quietly goes back to the hotel and tells Veena that Hemanth died from a car accident. Veena is devastated. Abhishek stays with her at home to support her. Abhishek's mother visits Veena at her home after receiving a letter from him about Hemanth's death. She shows Veena the letter Abhishek has written and asks her if she knows who the girl he has fallen in love with is that he has written about in his letter. When Veena reads the letter, she understands he was talking about her. But does not tell his mother. Abhishek's mother goes back to her town the next day.

An office employee comes home and asks Veena for Hemanth's driving license as the police statement mentioned he was driving at the time of his death. Veena is shocked to hear this and asks who gave the statement and learns that it was Abhishek. Hemanth never learned driving and did not have his license too. She realizes Abhishek has lied and starts suspecting him. She remembers Abhishek had his camera with him at the time he died and develops the negatives from the camera. The camera in automatic mode would have captured everything that happened on that day.

Veena pretends she is happy and seeks Abhishek's help to organize a party for the office staff and her friends. In the party she announces she is ready to move on and wants to get married to Abhishek who is in love with her. She asks him to take her to the cliff where Hemanth died as it was Hemanth's long cherished dream to take photos from the cliff. There, she reveals to Abhishek that she knows he killed Hemanth and shows the photos that Hemanth's camera had captured. She says handing him over to police and putting him behind bars is not enough. She then commits suicide from that cliff, in front of Abhishek, as revenge.
