Neither Studio Trigger nor its cofounder Hiroyuki Imaishi are strangers to anime fans. Having directed the irreverent “Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt” and the over-the-top “Gurenn Lagan”, Imaishi has made a name for himself with his work on stylishly unconventional media.
