- Zac asks Roo for help on his day with Leah. They have a romantic lunch and get on well together but soon start arguing when Leah admits she still can't get past Sam. Afterwards, she gives him back the ring. Marilyn tells Morag John has been beaten and Morag manages to pull the appeal forward. Deacon hears and tells John his daughter died in the fire where he was burned: He killed the person who lit it but now intends to kill John as well. John talks him down and is released, his sentence reduced to community service. Morag says goodbye to them and also wishes Roo well. Phoebe ropes Tori and Justin into helping her fix up the farmhouse prior to an inspection, which ends up being carried out by Roo. Phoebe decides to cancel the tour rather than leave Justin but he decides to go with her, presenting her with an engagement ring.—skteosk
- Zac's hope for a reconciliation with Leah is cruelly crushed as she turn his romantic day of reminiscence into a shouting match, ignoring she drove him to despair and concluding divorce is inevitable. Justin learns that Phoebe, who senses he still doubts whether to leave Brody alone, would drop the US tour for him, he decides to come and even offers an engagement ring. Deacon tells John no appeal can save him from the man who was jailed for murdering the arsonist who killed his daughter, but John talks him out of stabbing him, just in time to hear Morag, whom Marilyn told in tears about the beating, arrange for an early appeal hearing, which goes well: he's released with mere community service.—KGF Vissers
