My Wife is the Student Council President
Tweekums26 April 2021
This anime series is centred on Hayato Izumi, a high school boy who is the vice-president of the school council. One day he learns that Ui Wakana, the council president, is to move in with him because of an arrangement made between their parents when they were much younger. It is an arrangement he prefers to keep a secret. Hayato is somewhat stressed when Ui makes advances. Rin Misumi, the strict head of the school disciplinary committee also develops feelings for him. There isn't much more to the plot and this is mostly to provide excuses for nudity or shots of the girls' underwear.

I watched the censored version some time ago and suspected the uncensored version might not be too explicit... early on I continued to think that as there were only occasional scenes with nudity or sexual content alongside more standard content... this other content was actually quite funny. Later on it seemed that more and more content was gratuitously suggestive. The character designs are pretty good for a show with eight minute episodes as is the animation. I'm not sure I'd recommend this; it certainly isn't for younger viewers and older viewers will probably wish the characters were older.

These comments are based on watching the series in Japanese with English subtitles.

Mixed Bag Between Seasons
Darklordnoodlez16 September 2022
The first season was really good, and surprisingly wholesome. The second season was a big disappointment though. It wasn't bad I wouldn't say, but it lacked the wholesomeness of season one, in it's place was more. Of course, the first season had ecchi, but it was well-placed, relatively reserved, and often SUPER wholesome (or in other words, it was good ecchi). Season 2 also focused more heavily on the harem, which it didn't need and I really didn't like. The whole reason I was watching was for the main relationship, and they spent more time adding 2 pointless love interests, instead of devoting that time to the main couple. Sometimes it went so far out of its way to have the other love interests matter, it even felt disrespectful to You (the main female lead). That being said it was still well paced for the most part, still had a good cast of characters, and was still pretty funny. First season I'd give a high 8, second season I'd give a 5, and the special I'd give a 5.

Meaningless, just exposure

Initially the story looks good, a promise in childhood, a romance and an unusual action. But in the course of the anime it is just that, and it becomes an excuse to show sexual actions among teenagers.

Well forced, and it gets worse in the second season, where the goal is lost even more and focused only on sexuality.

Naughty and saucy

Risqué, scurrilous and outright outrageous at most times as we vicariously relive the adventures of two teenagers who experiment and find themselves at times driven almost unstoppable with want and lust! He he! How often do their escapades end in disaster and embarrassment!

I am no prude and though I come from a conservative Asian background I think there is wisdom in exploration when there are prearranged mutually decided limits beyond which one does not go, which I believe Izumi and Aoi appear to have settled upon.

While there are really goofy moments, there are moments of vulnerability and tenderness where Aoi invites Izumi to experience her physical side of intimacy. Notably, insisting Izumi doffs her undergarments in a narrow alleyway and coaxes him to touch her intimately between her legs...

I only complain that there should have been more direction and depth in their relationship instead of finally settling on competition between the busty discipline officer and Aoi. I feel if Izumi and Aoi really loved each other they should stand by each other and strengthen each other to resist all other temptations outside of their relationship, as it is obvious that Aoi is a supremely gifted and dedicated person. (Ahem) and Izumi can tease her all he wants in a suggestive and physically intimate manner and finally if mutual, consummate his relationship with his beautiful and talented girlfriend who clearly adores him!
