Of all the featurettes on Arrow's Special Edition release of BLOOD RAGE this one here is certainly the most entertaining. Make-up and effects man Ed French is interviewed about how he got into the business and what all can be done with such a low-budget. The make-up artist goes into detail about several of the gory death scenes in the movie and how they were created. He also talks about some of the stuff he did after BLOOD RAGE and why you can't just make a cult movie. At just over twelve minutes this featurette is certainly a lot of fun as French talks in good detail about how the effects were done and it was also interesting hearing him talk about how he got started in the business. If you're a fan of the film or just make-up effects in general then you'll want to check this out.
