*** 1/2 (out of 4)

This twenty-three minute documentary takes a look at the making of THE WITCH WHO CAME FROM THE SEA and features interviews with director Matt Cimber, star Millie Perkins, supporting actor John Goff and cinematographer Dean Cundey. If you're a fan of the film then you'll certainly want to check out this featurette, which has all sorts of great stories about the production. We start off with Cimber talking about reading the screenplay for the first time and how it was going to be a hard sell to try and get it made. Perkins, who was married to the screenwriter, talks about why she decided to do the film and her thoughts on the nudity and why she didn't want her family to know about the picture. Cundey is on hand to discuss the look of the picture and the new lenses that were used. With Goff he talks about his thoughts on seeing the picture after so many years. I'm not a major fan of the film but I really loved this featurette, which was totally interesting from the opening moments to the closing. There's some really great stuff here including a wonderful story about Cimber taking the film to the MPAA. There's also some great stuff with Perkins discussing the nudity and how she hopes her daughters never watch the film.
