I am glad that this was moved along pretty well and was probably better than the movie. The best part of this is probably at the very end when Vegeta stops Freiza from killing Goku. Alright, it's not that much of an act of heroism, but it's something. This actually does correct the movie a little. There's a scene where Sorbet shoots Goku with a laser damaging him which is pretty unlikely. In this episode, Freiza does in fact imply that Goku probably lowered his power level thus allowing him to be caught off guard. The animation is pretty good.
Bulma and Jaco are as fun as ever and it looks like Bulma does eventually convince Vegeta to go and help him. We even see flashbacks that show how Freiza was defeated the first time and how important this fight is to him. There's actually a pretty funny part where Goku bites his tail. It doesn't add up to much, but it's a nice little scene. What do you know, Beerus and Whis have finally finished their food! There's a lot of big eaters in this franchise. ***1/2
