Exceptional End to the story Arc and left wanting more
dameon_green17 April 2020
Originally watching Bakemonogatari years and years ago I stumbled back onto the series recently and with no regret have binged the heck out of it.

The stories start to finish have surprising depth if you can just look past the intentional cliches, nearly everything is done for a reason and a small detail 20 "episodes" previously suddenly becomes a critical point.

This was no exception, and maybe my sleep impaired brain missed the clues but the surprise at the end was quite good..

I'm personally suck between a 9/10 and a 10/10, so I'll error on the side of lower, but I'm already dreading finishing the last listed anime's of this great world..

Monogatari never fails to come up with the greatest stories

The reason why Monogatari is a classic is pretty simple. It's mind blowing in ways you've never seen before and this entry blew me away yet again!

Damn it's was good

Man I like how Nisio Isin Scripts but OwariMonogatari it's so damn great, the first half of the 1 season it's really slow but at the end, the story and characters always shine's with an unique light

But now I feel sad cause the only left to see of monogatari franchise is the movies :( and the other Light Novels when Shaft decides to adapt it.

One of the greatest collections of monogatari arcs
ukop27 February 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I have seen most of monogatari excluding zoku owarimonogatari. Even though the series is already known for its clever writing, unique dynamic style, and dialogue heavy sequences, zoku owarimonogatari brings a new character named Sodachi and a lot of emotional weight to the story. While we see Araragi develop more with the feud between Ougi and Hanewaka, Sodachi goes from a misunderstood in likable character to a relatable and saddening staple of Zoku Owarimonogatari. Even after her arc is over, her inclusion helped flesh out the characters of Araragi, Ougi, and Hanekawa even more. Especially spending more time with Ougi towards the latter half, the Ougi arcs hint at a more sinister plot that Ougi may have that the earlier pieces of monogatari merely hinted at. In any case, Owarimonogatari brings a lot of what you would expect from monogatari thus far with some improved animation and great new developments in the story. I feel that most of monogatari gets a 10/10 because of how masterful the series' scenes, animation style, and writing are, but Owarimonogatari definitely stands out as one of the best. If you haven't seen what's before Owarimonogatari and like it's style, then I would reccomend going through the series starting with Bakemonogatari and going through the series based on Nisio Isin order which you can find online.

Satisfying ending to Monogatari. It was pretty standard.

Favorite Episode: Sodachi Riddle, Part One

It ended the main Koyomi saga well. Not much to say, it was pretty standard monogatari. The dialogue was cumbersome/unengaging in many places but this is still one of the better monogatari's. Most of the remaining plot points all fit into place by the end.
