A Bit Agatha Christi-ish
Hitchcoc2 March 2019
I really enjoyed this episode. There are so many factors at work. I have to admit I figured it out really early on when they scanned the murder scene. But there were so many other issues that needed resolution. I do wish there were some closure on Sam's condition. She did have serious symptoms. Perhaps down the road we will hear of the cause of them. Otherwise, it would seem that the police, until really pushed, did a poor job of analyzing this case.

Total quality throughout.

There is some real quality about this episode, at first I thought it was an episode about the church, but it seems to be more a study about institutions, including the church, but there are also political elements here. There is for once a little touch of the miraculous at the end. A nice touch.

A more grounded story in this second part, it's less about faith and hope, more good old fashioned detection. The attempted stitch up was of course addressed by Doctor Ryan, an instrument of Justice.

Philip Jackson and Prunella Scales are terrific guest performers, but it's definitely Burton once again that shines through.

I would class Faith as one of the best, very much a murder mystery story. 9/10
