The Movie begins with Inder Parihaar coming out of the court after winning a case, congratulated by everyone, but he seems lost and unhappy. He asks his driver to take the day off from duty. He drives to his home and goes to a tree, which reminds him of something. The scene goes into a flashback......

Saraswati is informed by his father that a boy is coming to see her. She gets ready with her sister to meet him. Soon, his father gets the news that he canceled the meeting and is not coming; this breaks Saru and her father badly, while going to their offices inder see saru for the first time and immediately falls for her, saru's father and including everyone hates Inder as they believe he's a goon with ego and attitude and an irresponsible guy only leading them to judge him, saru's father ask the society members to kick him out but cannot as he's a tough guy with knowledge of law and old owner of her house Lily has transferred the ownership to Inder. Saru has a crush on Abhimanyu, a guy working in the same office. He asks Saru to wear a Bear costume and perform at his party. She couldn't refuse and agreed to do so in the hope of impressing Abhimanyu. She fulfills her duty with all her heart, but her colleagues bully her and make fun of her anonymous Valentine's card she made for Abhimanyu. Feeling heartbroken and embarrassed, she ran away, crying out her heart in the elevator. That's when Inder arrived, with a library membership form in his hands. Out of heat, he started removing his clothes, unaware that the person in the bear was Saru. Saru stops him, and he helps Saru to remove that costume. Inder asks Saru for a book recommendation, as Inder was never a person who could express openly, so he keeps borrowing books from Saru and shares his messages of his feelings in the card, which she unknowingly keeps overlooking it, saru's father informs saru that her sister's fiancee has arranged a qualified boy for saru and coming tomorrow to meet her which she agrees to meet him, next day after meeting the boy, Saru hears the conversation of him and her sister's fiancee insulting Saru of her looks and showing that she's odd looking and looks like an aunty, hearing all of this Saru's heart devastates and starts crying same when inder was also present and hears all the conversations of them, Saru's sister kaveri scolds and insults saru of her simple looks and scolding her that she'll never change, kaveri threatens to elope despite being heartbroken by her words saru promises her she will get her married, Saru decides to seek help from Inder and asks him to give her a recommendation to his ex-girlfriend who was a makeover specialist that's when his ex-girlfriend arrives misinterpreting the scene and insults saru of her looks and simplicity, this makes inder furious and asks her to get out, she throws a bottle of wine out of anger to him and saru but inder protects saru from it, they leave to take medical help when the security guard see them going together completely misjudging the situation, inder requests saru to go home but she doesn't, a police officer arrives where saru requests him to leave him as he was innocent, seeing her pain in her words and actions he leaves them and drops them back to home, saru's father comes back from a trip and is informed by the security guard and other members that they spent the night together and stuff, as saru's father see them in a certain position where saru was helping inder, misinterpreting the scene he slaps Saru and consider her dead and informs her mother to call the pandit to perform the ritual, disowned and completely heartbroken and helpless saru goes back to her office where she tries to find a house but cannot, Inder arrives there to help her as he couldn't leave her alone he comes with a set of keys and gives saru a nice and comfortable house, they go to buy stuff for the house where gets drunk and inder drops her home, the next day they go to buy few more stuff where inder tries to give her another card through the book but saru again overlooks it, a person's wallet falls and saru helps him by returning him which angers Inder a lot and he pushed saru hard making her fall hard, Inder realizes he made a big mistake unintentionally, rans to look for her but couldn't find saru anywhere this makes inder tensed, soon inder finds saru shaking in anxiety and crying, where inder apologizes to her and saru asks him to say sorry as Inder never say sorry to anyone but for saru he says, saru and inder starts bonding with each other unexpressively, inder tells saru that he was his father and he hates him, saru tells inder to reconcile with his father, for saru to reconcile with her father asks her how his father will forgive him, she tells that if a qualified well caste boy marries her, Inder tells her to get married but she tells jokingly that no one wants to marry this kind of simple and normal fashioned girl, Inder takes saru to his friend to get her a makeover and that's when he fell in love with saru holding back his feelings he assures that she looks so beautiful that no one will ever insult or mock you of your looks, Inder only chose to give saru a makeover just so that she can marry a well caste boy and her father forgives saru, Inder never desired to change Saru's looks, he fell in love with her with the way she was, Inder takes Saru to her house hoping to reconcile with her family, she witness her father performing the death ritual on her this breaks Saru and Inder very badly, where saru thanks inder to the help and the makeover she got from him and assures him that she won't give up and if someone asks her to marry her she'll immediately say yes as she was never felt special or loved by anyone unaware of the fact that inder was indeed in love with her, Saru starts going back to office with her new look and shocking everyone that's when abhimanyu starts hitting on Saru because of her new modern look, Saru starts feeling special as she thought Abhimanyu likes her and he proposes marriage to saru, on the other side Inder calls saru that a well educated boy has come to meet her, saru tells inder that Abhimanyu is a well educated boy too and has asked her to marry him, feeling heartbroken but knowing that her happiness and respect in front of her family is more important than his love, inder tells saru to agree the proposal where saru is also somewhere sad to seeing inder like this but couldn't understand his true feelings, Inder helps saru to buy her things and get her ready, saru gives the first card of invitation to Inder and asks him to come as there won't be anyone of her in the marriage, inder accepts it and chases saru's father begging him to attend saru's marriage which he rejects badly, Saru and inder reaches the court with the arrangements, Saru being happy on her wedding gets a shock when abhimanyu never appears when confronted he tells him that her parents won't accept this marriage and can't allow a bride who's death ritual has been performed by her own father, this leaves saru heartbroken and insulted and asks inder to hit Abhimanyu, but Inder explains to saru that if he hit him everything will be over and she won't get a chance to reconcile with him again, Saru starts screaming that he doesn't deserve anything and starts crying, Inder takes care of Saru, but again couldn't express his love, saru takes inder to the resort where she booked a suite for her honeymoon, Inder asks her to stop this but she refuses as she was in a big shock and grief, Inder choose to stay beside her, Seeing Saru crying leaves Inder heartbroken he try to console her, Saru tells inder that despite being beautiful no one wants to marry her, still saru not knowing the fact that inder loves her from the very beginning, Saru starts feeling for inder and kisses him, where inder stops her and tell that she'll hate him next day, saru crying and heartbroken inder agrees to her wish and they spend the whole night, Saru had already fell in love with him when she realised inder was there when no one was, next day inder saw Saru and Abhimanyu talking and trying to convince her of something, saru texts inder that Abhimanyu came to meet him and she's confused what to tell inder, "Sorry Thank You or Goodbye", feeling heartbroken inder breaks off her contact with saru and decides to leave the city when saru's mother arrives and requests him to give her sister's marriage card to saru which he agrees to give, inder reaches office where he is informed that saru doesn't work there anymore, inder tries to give card to Abhimanyu, where he tells that he's not in touch with Saru, feeling stressed and tensed inder starts searching for Saru, Inder's friend helps him find the location of Saru, Inder reaches the location and finds saru in a Buddhist monastery completely in a state of shock and helpless, inder scolds saru, they both argue over the fact that after their night they should avoid, Saru tells him that she didn't elope she did left a message for him, Inder expresses her love for her and asks him who he was after that night, in a furious state saru tells him that it was nothing and she did that to get over Abhimanyu which in real was not at all true and she was just hiding something from inder because she started to love inder so much , she rans away, inder despite feeling heartbroken goes to give her the marriage card, watching inder still standing for her against all odds she hugs him out of love but soon faints with a bleeding nose, stressed inder takes her to the hospital where he gets to know that she has Meningioma a brain tumor which is not treatable by surgery or chemo which was informed to Abhimanyu, feeling furious inder goes back to Abhimanyu and punches him, that's when inder gets to know everything that Saru indeed rejected Abhimanyu after their night and didn't choose him, she was in love with inder and was devastated to know about her tumor, saru didn't know about his feelings she thought inder slept with her out of sympathy for her so she began to talk rudely to inder that day in the monastery, saru asked Abhimanyu to not tell inder about any of her information, inder decides to make saru feel special and arranges a place where Saru can witness the marriage of her sister which she happily witnessed with all her heart, inder brings a big smile to saru and made her feel special, inder soon proposes marriage to Saru, she again assumes that he's doing it out of sympathy so she disagree, she tells him that "Neither I'm your First Choice nor a Best Choice for you" in which inder replies "You're my Only Choice", saru stops inder and tells him that if he asks again she might say yes because she was deeply in love with inder an d didn't wanted her to be someone's option and tells him that she wants to die with a pride, not feeling shamed or embarrassed on herself, this makes inder emotional, Inder goes to saru's house being drunk where he sees a flower garland on her photo which rips it off, and is slapped by her father, he asks her father to stop putting that to her Photo and tells him that he'll keep coming again to remove this, Saru takes a discharge from the hospital, Inder is again arrested by the same police officer, where he begs him to allow him to make a phone call to saru, Saru on the other hand goes to the library to re issue the book of Inder's father, she was missing inder so badly that she goes to see the first book she gave him just to see the name of him, that's when she flips it see the message Inder wrote to her before everything that happened, she goes through every book she gave him and all the messages he wrote to her which she unknowingly and unintentionally overlooked them, she gets to know and realised that She was Inder's "Best Choice" and inder always loved her, she starts missing him even more with more love and guilt of not understanding his feelings and overlooking those messages, Inder reaches the library after fighting the Police, where he found Saru crying and feeling tensed he asks her to come to the hospital, Saru confronts Inder that why he never expressed his love for her and he allowed her to marry Abhimanyu despite being his best choice, Inder explains that she indeed is his best choice but he's not the best choice for her or her father, Saru expresses her feelings too and tells him that it was all destiny, Saru out of Love asks Inder to marry her with a Please as she always wanted to be loved by someone and wanted to get married with the Love of her Life before she dies , They both reunite and seeing them in love the officer releases inder, Saru being excited for her Marriage and also heartbroken requests inder to not put a garland on her photo, instead bury her below a beautiful tree, sad and angry of this inder reaches saru's house again and threatens saru's father, he tells him that she gets sad and cries a lot when she sees a garland on her photo, inder tells his father that he may kill or even die too to stop her tears, this makes saru's father realize how deeply he loves saru, both inder and saru reaches the court for their marriage along with the police officer, Saru's parents reaches the court and forgives them and tells Saru that no other guy is better than Inder as he finally understands their love for each other, Saru and their parents Reconcile, Saru and Inder gets Married, but Saru faints soon after signing the document, in the hospital Saru's parents are devastated to know that she's gonna die soon and starts crying in guilt, saru tells them that it's okay because it was God's choice so saru forgives them, the police officer reaches too and gives saru's handbag to inder and tells him that she's been trying to reissue this book, where he tells inder that she has kept the exact rose that inder gave her on a page with a tree, inder soon connects all the dots and reaches his father where he asks a piece of land under that tree, inder's father misjudged the blood of Saru to a murder, Inder being furious of this leaves the house, he reaches to saru and asks him why she never asked that if he killed someone or not because he was accused by everyone, she tells him that she knows he might have killed to save someone's life, that's when inder explains to saru that her nanny lily was being harrassed by his uncle and in defence she kills him, so to save her nanny's life inder takes the blame of killing his uncle to himself with the hope that his father will fight for his case, which he never did which resulted into inder's sentence for 8 years to the jail and a restrained relationship with his father, Saru requests inder to forgive his Father and get back to him, Saru asks inder to come near her and asks her to say a final Goodbye to her, Inder crying out his heart out refuses to do so, Saru tells him that she'll definitely come for inder when he'll die and promise to stay beside him, they both express their Eternal Love for her and then Saru dies in Inder's Arms, Heavily Hearbroken by the fact that Saru is no more cries all his heart out, Inder's father arrives and reaches out to him and asks him to apologize him, gets to know that her Daughter in law is no more, Inder forgives his father and they both Reconcile.

Back in Present Inder now a successful lawyer has left drinking for Saru comes to celebrate the victory of his case with Saru near the Tree where she's buried, Flowers fall on Inder indicating that Saru is nearby him, Inder tells her that she misses him daily a lot by swearing on her.......which showed the Eternal Love of Inder Towards Saru.
