A film school student making a project on professions joins a showoff wiseguy driving instructor giving a driving lesson on the road to a startled client who patiently sits trough endless philosophizing and shocking teaching methods, which don't even give priority to an accident they cause making a victim, whose fate keeps worsening. The camera is however focused on the driving pupil once he mentions being a pilot.

An elevator gets stuck, with three people inside. The businessman's cellphone breaks down while he discusses a large cargo stuck in Paraguay, so he demands to use his neighbor's, but he insists to keep the line open expecting calls from his mother on her deathbed. The third man tries to mediate while making philosophical observations, but gets caught in linguistic disputes. When well-meaning Dutch lift operator Kees contacts them by intercom, the businessman's aversion for Dutch people starts a tragic dynamic.

Roy is eager to sell the villa he's living in to flippant Wim, who wants to snap up the 'cottage' as a consolation surprise while his girlfriend is having an abortion. Roy insists on a tour and discloses it comes with a retired opera singer who live on the first floor. That makes Wim hesitate, as he wants no senior o his hands, while Nico arrives, an opera buff who only wants to buy the house for her. While they bicker if a deal can be made, she appears and changes everything again.

Three cars crash on a lonely country crossroad, with only 'minor' metal damage. The divers bicker whether to call the police, how to assess the damage, who's to blame, o linguistic matters and son lyrics... One has to admit he had no drivers' license, so the other two decide to make him pay cash, when a cyclist crashes into the mashed cars. First they assume him dead, then OK, finally find him dying and a ticking time bomb if other cycle racers start looking for their mate, bringing the trio together for a macabre 'solution'.

A patient wearing a Minerva booked a single hospital room, so his twin brother can help him cheat the insurance with a fake spinal injury. While they switched places a while, a genuine hernia patient in wheeled in, due to temporary lack of free rooms. Surgeon Tim convinces the simpleton brother to sign up for surgery by a befriended US top specialist. The brothers switch places again, a simpleton third patient is wheeled in, but neither intends to betray the fraud as long as the second is bribed. The surgeon has a cardiac crisis.
