Here comes the bride...

Agatha almost gets married to James, but that would be too premature for this season 1 finale. You can feel Agatha's anguish as she tries to cope with the unexpected end to her impending nuptials.

Agatha Raisin is a comfort in these pandemic times for sure. I love the village scenery and the ensemble cast.

Murderous Marriage

Agatha is finally getting married to James however there is the little problem of her first husband Jimmy turning up. Agatha thought he was dead and James knew nothing about him, meaning he walks out on her.

The next day Jimmy is found dead and Agatha was seen arguing with him and becomes the main suspect.

Her friends rally around to investigate and hopefully clear her. Jimmy was shady, a blackmailer, alcoholic and had spent time in a rehabilitation clinic nearby. They find out that Jimmy was maybe connected somehow to other residents in the village.

At least it leads to a pleasing ending to an uneven series which at times could get hammy and infuriating.
