Moe Szyslak: [Looking at Tom Brady on the television] I can't stand that pretty boy quarterback. He thinks he's so handsome, just because he's drop-dead gorgeous.
- Versiones alternativasThe February 12, 2017 rerun of the episode features allusions to Super Bowl LI (2017), changing the game score from Springfield 21/Boston 23 in regular time to Atlanta 28/New England 34 in overtime, and the blackboard gag to "If we're so good at predicting, how come Dad bet on Atlanta?"

An Average Vacation Episode,
The Town is a good Simpsons episode with a reasonably well written plot and plenty of very funny scenes. It's enjoyable, as we see the family go to Boston, there are plenty of great gags throughout that made the episode. There are also some stellar guest cameos, such as Bill Burr, Michael Chiklis and Rachel Dratch, who add a lot of fun to the show.
As far as vacation episodes of the Simpsons go, I was underwhelmed. I expected more from one where they travel beyond Springfield, I was hoping for more of an adventure, such as the ones where they go to Tokyo and Brazil, but this was a lot more character driven.
Some scenes can definitely be rendered as offensive for Boston residents. The whole idea of Homer going their for a "hate-cation" is a little insensitive and the entire voice cast do their best accent for various characters throughout. There is nothing too un-PC here, but I could see some people getting upset by it.
It is nicely executed, but it left me a little underwhelmed. Certainly nothing stellar, The Town is still a very enjoyable Simpsons with plenty of laughs.
Homer takes the family to Boston to prove to Bart that the city is not worth supporting.
