The setting was great. I live in northwest Ontario and related to the snow, although running out of gas for anything when you know you're gonna be snowed in for months was a ridiculous flaw. Especially since he seemed to have an endless supply of booze and money. Since I hit on a flaw. I should mention the soundtrack. Sadly, the same annoying droning music and voice kept appearing where it wasn't needed at all. I ended up muting in areas to avoid that tinkling headache inducing nonsense. Shaky handheld camera stuff got to me a few times too. Again, completely unnecessary. But there's also a lot to like here. The plot was very creative and original and the acting was great by virtual unknowns with the exception of one of the so called bad guys. You'll know which one immediately. He brought no credibility to the part at all. You will instantly adore the dog. There's a cool vintage snowmobile too. It could have been so much more but it still succeeded somehow.

Absolutely amazing! Funny dark kafkaesque film

Warning: Spoilers
I saw the budget and just about fell out of my chair!!
Dark humor and storyline that just keeps on giving. By about 2/3 through the film I really thought I knew where it was going and then another strange curve. Outside the box in terms of traditional film making and yet keeps one sticking around for more. Margaret is a gold mine. My only problem is that she somehow didn't get woven into the ending
