Contemporary trade publication The Moving Picture World originally announced an October 27, 1918, release date for this Pictograph reel, which would feature "How Movies Move", a scenic study, and a "Goodrich Dirt" cartoon. Pictograph release dates fell off the normal weekly pattern in November 1918, around the time the Spanish influenza epidemic disrupted American life, closing movie theaters across the country over a period of a few weeks starting in mid-October. A Paramount-Bray Pictograph featuring "A Modern Miracle Worker", an installment of "Our Newest Possessions", and "How Movies Move" was later listed with a November 10, 1918, release date.
