Having been in the VR industry for quite some time, I was delighted when I stumbled upon "World Makers" and I evangelize it to anyone who is interested in VR or HMDs, in hopes that I can get them to see that content is king when it comes to a full realization of the metaverse, writ large. His shows are well-produced, inviting and though-provoking to look at and listen to (whether in video or audio form) and I find myself re-inspired to work and build and create after every show.
If you're in the neo-VR industry (2010 onward), you'd do very well to ground yourself in all the thinking and hard work that's come before you: VR isn't something you put on your head... it's something you put in your mind.
There's something for everyone in Second Life and you'd do well to follow Draxtor's advice and get in there and enjoy it. And build worlds.
