A Blast From the Past For the Third Season
DuskShadow27 June 2017
Warning: Spoilers
Yet another example of how interesting Z Nation is at pushing the envelope, Season 3 starts off with some kind of doubly long episode aimed at bridging some of the gaps in the time span of our protagonists journey throughout the states of Z.

Done almost in the form of a solid zombie film, this episode is twice as long as normal, and begins with 10K chasing a girl whom throws herself at a small horde of zombies.

The group enters into a small fortified area where a pharma group once operated. Survivors have holed up behind barricades but some unknown force comes against them with unusual demands. The gang gets involved with these holdouts as the proverbial "Man" uses whatever means necessary to obtain people on a short list he was given by the remaining powers. Basically his bosses are the remnants of the nearly vanished aristocracy. This I feel is setting up some much needed foreshadowing for future villains that could not be properly addressed in season 2, mainly " The Man", enforcer and mercenary for The Zona.

The episode shows a good chunk of what happened on just one of the doubtless numerous adventurers the main cast must have embarked upon throughout their time together. And after a harrowing battle and a tear jerker of an ending, I wanna see more of these well done flashback fillers. 8/10

If you are surprised in the beginning
mk-161-15500213 April 2019
Warning: Spoilers
If you were expecting to get answers to these several loose ends, then you might be disappointed in this two-hour premiere episode: "No Mercy" and "No Frackin Mercy". Normal television shows follow a set of cliffhanger procedures, usually resolving many things at the beginning of the next season.

However, Z Nation has never been a show to follow the norm, so father and son writing team Karl & Daniel Schaefer took a decidedly different approach for these first two episodes.

These are flashback episodes, and as such, the group is still on their mission to California to find the CDC and more importantly, Murphy's lady friend, Cassandra (Pisay Pao), is still alive.

Warning: Spoilers
This Episode begins with 10K, he is running because a big horde of zombies is coming. The Man is looking for Dr. Harold Teller. The gang is fighting with a big horde of zombies. The Man knocked down Warren. Warren got captured by The Man. The gang is preparing for The Man his attack. The gang shoots a bunch of zombies to death. The Man escaped. Nice Flashback Episode of Z Nation, this was a flashback story from Season 2. Great to watch but not the storyline i was hoping for. Hoping for a good thirth Season of Z Nation. Murphy will yet again play a big part during this Season, my favorite character!

No point!
fthomas-231109 August 2021
The writers seem to have forgot the requirements for tension. Nothing can really happen to the main characters because we already know they will get to California. So to repeat the title, there is no point to this episode!

Nonsense
harringta91 August 2017
Entire episode could have been 5 minutes long! If the Warren gang really wanted to prevent an abduction, then simply shoot the abductee, and it's done. But then that would make sense! Although being in an apocalypse, clear judgements may not be so good, so 5/10.................................................................

Slow motion doesn't increase the quality any
Elain-ee2 November 2017
Was expecting better, at the very least this premiere could/should have been average length. The barely-there story line was dragged out to a bandwidth destroying 1.5-2 hour segment. Nearly every action lasted twice as long thanks to slow motion video; it felt like watching a bad metal video from the 1980s at times, but minus a decent soundtrack to make up for the lack of dialogue.

The start was alright but everything after The Man turned up for the second time was cheerless and wasteful. You won't be missing much if you don't watch this... and that pretty much says it all!

Awful start to new season after a great run prior
gregmalone111 November 2019
Season 3 Ep 1 was awful. Flashback movie my *ss. The writing was a complete break from the established method and canon, and was so incoherent as a story I figured it was something they pieced together on the cheap waiting for the new season to get funded. Just awful. Couldn't even finish it.

WASTE OF TIME!!
razvanrazvan-978498 August 2022
This episode is just a waste of time, it doesn't even link to the principal story, so if you are here for some advice about this episode, my advice is DO NOT WATCH THIS, it is just a waste of time!
