Yet another example of how interesting Z Nation is at pushing the envelope, Season 3 starts off with some kind of doubly long episode aimed at bridging some of the gaps in the time span of our protagonists journey throughout the states of Z.
Done almost in the form of a solid zombie film, this episode is twice as long as normal, and begins with 10K chasing a girl whom throws herself at a small horde of zombies.
The group enters into a small fortified area where a pharma group once operated. Survivors have holed up behind barricades but some unknown force comes against them with unusual demands. The gang gets involved with these holdouts as the proverbial "Man" uses whatever means necessary to obtain people on a short list he was given by the remaining powers. Basically his bosses are the remnants of the nearly vanished aristocracy. This I feel is setting up some much needed foreshadowing for future villains that could not be properly addressed in season 2, mainly " The Man", enforcer and mercenary for The Zona.
The episode shows a good chunk of what happened on just one of the doubtless numerous adventurers the main cast must have embarked upon throughout their time together. And after a harrowing battle and a tear jerker of an ending, I wanna see more of these well done flashback fillers. 8/10
