Sex & Nudity

  • No nudity.
  • After the group is first attacked, they break into a clothing store and disrobe to change into fresh clothes. Everyone is in underwear. A gay "bear" - a chubby, hairy guy - is wearing a jock strap for an extended period, and one character remarks that gay men are obsessed with jock straps.
  • Two women have a passionate sex scene that includes simulated cunnilingus, but no nudity is shown.

Violence & Gore

  • Lots of realistic zombie gore and violence that is often played for comedy but not literally done in a comedic way.
  • A disabled woman, missing part of one leg, must remove her prosthetic and bandage her stump after it is wounded from being forced to run quickly and unexpectedly.
  • A man smashes in zombie skulls with a hammer and later a sledgehammer.
  • A woman uses a chain dog leash to strangle a man to death.
  • A woman stabs zombies in the eyes with knitting needles.
  • A woman attempts to use a replica saber as a weapon, but it breaks. She then uses the jagged stump to stab some zombies in the throat.
  • A person rigs up a makeshift taser and uses it to stun other violent people, but this backfires and electrocutes them.
  • A man uses a machete on both zombies and people.
  • In one of the goriest but funniest sequences, a woman who trains dogs for a living breaks into the kennel where she works hoping to retrieve several dogs to use in defense. She emerges with two poodles and a beagle, and unleashes them on a pack of zombies that are torn limb from limb.
  • A woman fashions the end of her cane into a point and stabs zombies in the face with it.

Profanity

  • Extensive profanity throughout. Frank sexual dialog.
  • A woman is referred to by a man as a "tranny bitch". Another man uses a racial epithet toward her friend. (It does not end well for the verbal assailants.)

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • People at a dance party are seen drinking, smoking weed and taking ecstasy.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The entire film is a dark comedy/horror hybrid. There are many suspenseful moments as characters fight for their lives, both against zombies and other survivors with ill intentions. A lot of moments are metaphor for the struggles of GLBTQI people to be treated with dignity, and not every character survives to the end, often because of interference from others who put little to no value on their lives.
