An Interesting Re-telling of High Strangeness In Unique Locales
AudioFileZ25 April 2016
I'm not a fan of many ghost hunter type shows, but I do find the ones that are more based on actual re-enactments of compelling cases using the actual people who experienced the high strangeness. I think Paranormal Survivor has the best format of this kind of show and to a slightly lesser degree comes Alaska Haunting & My Haunted House. To get the terror across in a 40 minute show one must accept that the producers do take a few liberties, but Alaska Haunting has that sense of real folks experiencing something quite unreal with their lives being impacted negatively. That's the thing that, to me at least, make these stories more interesting than teams of ghost hunters trying to chase whatever they can by using their tech based approach. You just feel these folks have suffered something quite unexplainable. Alaska Haunting has this core and it's a bit unsettling but entertaining.

Hilarious!

The episode I saw (Cabin Fever) talked about a woman whose foot was painfully attacked causing her toes to move oddly apart by an invisible entity. There weren't any other signs of a haunting that would help verify a ghostly toe attack that was documented, the investigation centered around her toe cramps. I guess it's possible that someone might mistake a Charlie horse in the toes (which I have experienced on many occasions) as a ghost attack but they would have to be pretty desperate for attention or totally ignorant. They even showed an attack on her toes on screen and it appears exactly as my "toe Charlie horses" appear - does this mean I should contact a ghost hunter? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
