Mr. Overton (2015)
*** 1/2 (out of 4)
At 109-years-old, Richard Overton was the oldest living WWII vet. This twelve-minute documentary talks with the elderly man who discusses his life.
In all honesty, a longer documentary would be excellent because just think of all the stories someone of this age could tell. What this short does offer is a quick look at what appears to be an amazing life. He talks about how he got involved in WWII and also talks about his first memory of a car, smoking twelve cigars a day and how he doesn't waste money. MR. OVERTON is a very good documentary and there's no question that you hang onto every work that the man says simply because he has seen and been through so much. This documentary is a very good tribute to a man who, as he states, keeps getting up and going no matter what his age is.
