• Jacob Scribble : We have to go back, Maurizio.

  Maurizio di Mauro : But I don't wanna go back! I like it here! Mrs. Maggot is a great cook! And I could probably get used to Maggot's clammy hands.

  Jacob Scribble : I like it here, too, but you heard Auntie Noah. We promised her.

  Maurizio di Mauro : [sadly]  I guess you're right.

• [Jacob tries to wrestle the briefcase from Maggot, but Maggot wrestles it back, rolls in his sleep and crushes him. Maurizio tugs at Maggot's coat. The supervisor rolls back over in his sleep so now Maurizio is crushed and Jacob is sitting on top of the briefcase] 

  Maurizio di Mauro : Oh... It's cold, clammy and heavy. Somehow, what do we do?

  Jacob Scribble : I don't know. You think of something for a change.

• Maurizio di Mauro : Well, if we have to leave, I'd better take some leftovers with me.

  [He searches the box] 

  Maurizio di Mauro : I'd better find a suitcase or something.

  [He sticks his head into a kettle] 

  Jacob Scribble : Hah! That stomach of yours can hold anything. Hold it! "Hold anything". What about Maggot's briefcase. That's how we came here, and that's how we'll get back.

  Maurizio di Mauro : But Maggot never lets that briefcase out of his sight. He even sleeps with it.

  [He takes the kettle off his head] 

  Maurizio di Mauro : He even showers with it.

• Maurizio di Mauro : Did you see that, Jacob? We've been gone for just a few hours, and the wizards have already replaced us with a million new pets! Talk about gratitude for all our loyalty.

  Jacob Scribble : Very strange, Maurizio. And Maggot demanded a spell. I wonder if we should go back?

  Maurizio di Mauro : No way. If they can replace us so fast, we can do the same thing.

  [He lies down and closes his eyes defiantly] 

  Jacob Scribble : Yes, you have a point. And to tell you the truth, I'm starting to like it here.

  [He himself lays back and closes his eyes. But something bothers him. He sits up] 

  Jacob Scribble : I feel bad. I wonder what Auntie Noah would think about this?
