- Leslie is accused of armed robbery, forcing Louisa to take drastic action to save him. Margo takes a shine to a gardener at the Villa and the family realise the extent of Gerry's passion for animals.
- After Leslie has antagonized a neighbouring turkey farmer Louisa throws him out and he moves in with local bad boys Fotis and Sotos, who take him with them on an armed burglary. Leslie is arrested and needs his mother's help to avoid jail. Unsure of her relationship with Sven Louisa agrees to go sailing with Captain Creech but the outing is a disaster and she is grateful that Sven is there to comfort her. - Tired of the by now all too free kids running wild, Louisa finds Leslie antagonized a neighboring turkey farmer by shooting his birds and hopes to teach him a lesson by shortly elf throwing him out, but he takes his gun and stumbles into a life of crime after naively asking to be taken in by two local thugs, who press him to help steal booze. Louisa's plan of using a supposedly rejuvenated Captain Creech's invitation to his 'yacht' to make eerily-silent Sven jealous backfires, yet they end up kissing. Gerry mourns the death of one of his bats, who gets an Ortyhox burial officiated by Theo, and is encouraged to set up a center for scientific learning with the rest of his animals. Leslie soon ends up back in jail till Spiros manages bail and in court, first as turkey thief, soon alas also an 'armed-robbery' charge. Theo and Spiros assume his defense, with crucial help from the magistrate, who knows the local scoundrels, and Louisa bribing the thugs. Being caught trying on one of the Countess's dresses to impress the gardener leads Margo to worry for her job, until the Countess surprises her by giving her the dress, while Louisa just had to ask for another, and Larry dances to the butler's tune for access to the private library.—KGF Vissers
