In a future where Mars has been colonised some of the top students at an academy run by the space aeronautics company Kirishina Corp are part of A-TEC (Advanced Technological Development Department, Educational Development Class). They work to develop a new engine called the X-2; there is a problem though; it is vastly expensive and the corporation plans to end A-TEC. To this end young company director Nagisa Kiryu it transferred into the class but as he gets to know the members of the class and its teacher he starts to see things their way and understands that they could be a valued part of the company. His elder brother, the company sees things differently and is willing to go to extremes to see A-TEC disbanded.
This is a decent enough anime series; the story is interesting, there are some exciting moments and political intrigue. It doesn't however have that certain something that makes it special that will make it memorable. The characters are similar to ones we've seen before and while the exact details aren't obvious the eventual outcome is hardly a surprise. The animation is good and character designs are decent enough if a bit generic. Overall I'd say it is worth watching once if you have some time to kill but this isn't a must see series and I suspect most viewers will forget it fairly quickly once it has finished.
