In India, mandatory cuts were required in order for the film to receive an 'A' rating (Restricting the film to an adult audience only); the changes made to the film removed all references to the right wing nationalist political party, RSS, and the saffron flag in all shots of the movie, visual photographs of the RSS founder KB Hedgewar and ideologue MS Golwalkar, a scene in which a female character is shown masturbating and the supposedly objectionable and disrespectful shot of a painting depicting Lord Hanuman carrying books in his hand.
