The CW has secured broadcast rights to 50 Atlantic Coast Conference (Acc) college football and basketball games.
The new deal will start on Saturday, September 9, with a matchup between the Pittsburgh Panthers and their non-conference opponent, the Cincinnati Bearcats and will continue through the 2026-2027 season. It will continue every Saturday afternoon and evening throughout the season.
As well as 13 football games, The CW will broadcast 28 men’s basketball games and nine women’s basketball games, which will take place in December, January and February. Men’s basketball doubleheaders will take place every Saturday afternoon with women’s basketball games taking place on Sunday afternoons.

The CW and the Roku Channel have teamed up to announce their collaboration on “Fight to Survive,” an eight-episode survivalist competition.
Hosted by “American Ninja Warrior” alum Akbar Gbajabiamila, the social experiment pits 17 competitors— including former “Survivor,” “Alone,” “Naked and Afraid” and “American Ninja Warrior” contestants —against each other in an attempt to survive 25 days on a remote tropical island while facing brutal conditions to win $250,000. Fight to Survive is one of three new series ordered by Roku in January slated to launch this year.
The eight-episode survivalist competition series will premiere Thursday, August 10 at 8 Pm on The CW. All episodes will then be available to stream on Roku Channel and The CW App on September 29, the day after the broadcast finale.

Exclusive: Roku is promoting a number of execs in its originals team following a shakeup last week.

Deadline revealed last week that Colin Davis, who was Roku’s Head of Scripted Originals, was moving to oversee comedy development at Sony Pictures Television with alternative chief Brian Tannenbaum taking over as Head of Roku Originals on an interim basis.
That move is now permanent, as we forecast, with Tannenbaum now reporting directly to David Eilenberg, who was recently promoted to VP, and Head of Content, Roku Media.
Elsewhere, Lydia Antonini, who was previously Head of Creative Affairs, becomes Head of Scripted Originals and non-scripted exec Olivia Laroche has been promoted to Head of Alternative Originals.
Both Antonini and Laroche now report to Tannenbaum.
