An iconic car
bkoganbing13 October 2016
Poor Bridget Moynahan. Had I been here I might have quit the District Attorney's office over this. Her new boss, the acting DA of Manhattan no doubt trolling for votes to become DA in his own right orders that cops be ARRESTED if they don't follow procedure. I'm not a big fan of police, but that seemed way excessive. Of course it puts her in conflict with Tom Selleck.

Donnie Wahlberg however does not get his usual grisly homicide. It's a stolen car instead. But what a car, the one that Steve McQueen drove in that famous car chase in Bullitt. The current owner Anthony Edwards feels that his unfaithful wife and a boyfriend did the deed. But it doesn't feel right to Wahlberg and his instincts are usually right.

Love the scene in the end when the Reagan men get to see the car and get to feel close to that Hollywood icon who drove it.

Warning: Spoilers
I guess that all excellent shows have to have one episode which is exactly up to par, and this episode did it for this great series.

The whole premise of an alleged car that was used in the Steve McQueen film "Bullitt" is somewhat ridiculous. The owner and his estranged wife, who loves him dearly despite their age difference, are really something else.

Usually the sidebar story would pick up any slack. Here, we have the unethical practice of squashing car tickets and even Eddie is pulled in for this. The situation puts Frank at odds with his daughter Erin over this.

Erin is really perplexed in this episode. She is turning 40 and is in a professional argument with her father.

Erronous facts
Originator19942 July 2017
Not a bad episode but not one of the better ones either. The fact was brought up about Erin celebrating her 40th birthday but this is incorrect as she had her 40th birthday several years back. In one of the previous episodes, Frank runs into a pal of Erins, a blonde that Erin doesn't want her dad dating because she is his daughters age, whom Frank can't remember until she gives him some clues and then yes, he remembers and mentions they had last seen each other at Erins "40" birthday Wondering why CBS doesn't check their facts before filming episodes as this happens all too often when facts in their story lines are incorrect. Again, it would be nice if the story lines would include the past of this family. We have seen pix on Franks dresser of Joe and Mary..They have been mentioned over time but never been "shown" in their "past" as part of any storyline. It would bring newness to the show along with more insight into family members. Really getting tired of Erins arrogant attitude. She always has to present herself as "Assist Dist Atty Erin Reagan" instead of Erin Reagan, ADA...Many of us feel she went back to her maiden name to show off to others as that last name opens more doors and Boyle. While at it, Bring back the ex husband for some conflict , add to the shows often boring story lines

Warning: Spoilers
Since she first entered Blue Bloods, i have disliked Eddie Jenko. There is just about everything wrong with her.

"Normally" she is pushy, opinionated, self righteous, disrespectful, selfish and self serving.

She is a terrible police officer.

Why is she written so ditzy, with no ability to think clearly and logically ?

Why are we constantly subjected to her tantrums, her impulsive actions and general bad behaviour ?

Could the writers not try to create better women characters ? This gives women a bad name.

In this episode she is the worst yet. She willfully does something criminal, the ticket fixing, and at the first sign of trouble, she starts yelling about who is her partners father. Frank Reagans own kids has never pulled the "do you know who i am" stunt, but here she goes.

It's embarrassing and pathetic.
