The core content of the series is quite interesting. But chef Christine is downright silly. She is always laughing and acts like a child. She should grow up.

Lived in China for many years eating dishes from all over. Also, read Confucius analects and studied Socrates. She doesn't say one phrase from Confucius because it's not about food at all. She keeps saying that Confucius is Chinese, which means she doesn't about him and his importance in Korea or Japan. This last just goes around eating food, spewing out whatever ideas she thinks of as some kind of fact. What a complete lack of Chinese education in philosophy or cuisine. No continuity, except for a made up philosophy that no one really discusses in the show. They all just politely nod when she talks about Confucius and food. Way to choose the most unqualified person possible to make a show about chinese. Stick to Athens.
Content is the only strength

While the content itself is interesting, this show comes off as a high school student project. The soundtrack is elevator music from 1994 and is poorly mixed. It's so bad it's distracting. The host tries to have personality, but falls flat. She definitely seems out of her element. Even the camera work and scene setting is lacking. The show doesn't flow very well and seems to jumó around. And the dramatizations and animation are so bad it's actually the most entertaining part of the show. I get they're working with a limited budget, but maybe hire college students instead of high school students.
