The kind of film that should be riffed by MST3K
f_lover22 September 2016
This is a movie that is made by horror fans for horror fans and the kind of genre I grew up watching, in a darkened room, late on a Saturday night, with some of the most classic horror hosts. This would be the type of movie they would show. This film has it all - from the smart and sassy girl, right down to the nerdy annoying overly hormonal boy. If you'd like to enjoy reliving those schlocky classic films from the 50's, 60's and 70's all rolled into one then this is the movie for you. I could see this being riffed on MST3K for sure. My favorite story is the one about the nosy neighbor. I've even known a few just like him so I could totally identify with the reaction every time he showed up. Have some fun and watch this film.

HORROR with HUMOR....gross scary and laugh out loud outrageous!

Campy but quality, horror and humor! Destined to become a cult classic favorite! It takes good work to combine the two as well as was done in Pitfire of Hell. This movie had us grossing out and laughing out loud at the same time! Definitely a must see! With a start much the same as a slasher, teenage lust horror flick, at first you think, I have seen this in at least 10 movies before. I promise you, that is not the case! The humor starts to kick in right from the beginning along with classic campy and gruesome effects and makeup! The interaction between cast members is seamless, while being true to the type of movie Pitfire of Hell was created to be...SOMETHING DIFFERENT and FUNNY! Loved how the movie pulled in classic ideals from horror favorites, but in a fun way! The end of the movie was as funny as the rest! If you love Horror and you love Humor, you won't be able to resist "PITFIRE OF HELL"!

Everything you could ask for from a horror comedy
bloodandco-eds4 September 2016
I saw this today at the Louisville Days of the Dead, and what a gem. I'm not going to spoil any of the movie because it's definitely something that needs to be experienced from a fresh perspective. The thing I loved the most about it is you could tell the people making it were having a good time doing so. It felt like a movie for the fans by the fans. It was multi-layered in its' comedic approach. It was like a really good Troma flick minus the transvestites and penis monsters. That's my only spoilers; no transvestites(that I was aware of) and no penis monsters.

If you're at a convention and you see this movie on the screening list give it a chance and you'll laugh your ass off.

It would be easy to ruin it for you so...

This movie was made by some friends of mine but after watching it I decided that I would have given it a good review no matter what! It's one of those Indie films that will take you back to being a teenager and telling campfire tales while guzzling some beer and laughing your ass off. Again it's really hard to say too much without giving it away but let me just say you won't be disappointed by buying this film, sitting back and just watching. It is very well done. The photography, effects and acting are well done and the comedy kind of sneaks up on you at times. You need to really be watching so you won't miss any of the subtleties. I highly recommend it and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did! Sorry no spoilers, I'd much rather you test it out for yourself!

Campy fun
VWonderWoman31 May 2016
If you are into campy horror fun, then this is the film for you. It is a clever and funny take on horror flicks with your typical, yet authentic teens. which I feel all did a clever and brilliant job. The teens, who are fellow classmates decide to gather around a fire pit and come up with horror stories for one of their classes. Within their story sharing, hilarious horror ensues with many twists in characters that would be considered one's norm. Many parts throughout the film made me laugh out loud which I truly appreciated. Give "Pitfire of Hell" (2016) a gander, I do believe that if you are a true movie watcher of funny horror, then you should add this to your collection. Enjoy!
