"The Jim Gaffigan Show" is a new cable sit-com starring Jim Gaffigan, of course. This particular episode is not surprising in light of how much of the guy's stand-up routine is about his over-eating.
The show begins with Jim returning home from one of his stand-up engagements. He sheepishly admits to his wife that he has an eating problem, as he ate an entire cake while in Vegas. He makes a lot of excuses but after a fiasco at a birthday party, there's no denying he has food issues.
This is a funny episode but, oddly, it has no resolution--which is what you would expect. This isn't necessarily a terrible thing and the show kept my interest. How the program continues to hold up is unknown, as this is only the second episode.
