Summaries

  • When the police arrest a gang of opium smugglers on the banks of the Thames, Inspector John Marlott makes a shocking discovery in the form of the body of a dead child washed up on the shore. He is ordered by Home Secretary Sir Robert Peel to lead the investigation, however details must remain confidential.
  • London 1827:- After discovering a young girl's corpse stitched together from eight separate body parts inspector Marlott is tasked by home secretary Peel to investigate. Surgeon Sir William Chester believes it is part of a plot to discredit his profession, accused by MP Bentley Warburton of using bodies stolen from graves for anatomy lessons. After local urchins tell him of a monster who comes at night to steal children Marlott comes across a house of child prostitutes and thieves run by the sadistic Billy but next day it is empty and the only clue is a poem by William Blake.—don @ minifie-1
