    Amazing Doc

Michael Turner is such a unique and talented story teller. A beautiful and engaging film that connects Michael's personal journey with stuttering to the larger topic at hand. A doc with an inimitable style and a refreshingly different and more personal story than your boilerplate Netflix/Hulu doc of the era.

    Must watch

This movie completely shifted my perspective on stuttering. As a mother of a child who stutters, I thought I was prepared but I was able to let go of a lot of my own preconceptions after watching this film with her.

    A beautiful film

I had the opportunity to meet Michael Turner and preview this stunning movie in Albany NY. If you are a person who cares about humanity and the way people communicate, this movie is a must see. It is rich with story and filmography.

The Way We Talk spoke to my soul. I encourage you to RUN not walk to see this stunning film.

Michael Turner and Alyssa Burges are gifted and this is a film worth seeing, and you will be better for having seen it.

    A Journey of Discovery

This is a great movie where one follows a person who stutters on his Path of Discovery about his stutter. It is a personal & heartfelt journey that he takes us on. He discovers both the covert and overt aspects of his stutter. The overt aspects of how others see and relate to him, often times not who he is and what he is saying but only to his stutter. The covert aspects of how he sees himself as one you stutters, realizing that he sees his World thru the eyes of "One Who Stutters" , when in fact he is so very much MORE than his stutter. The very real biological aspects to why he stutters and the research going on in this field was fascinating. As one who is 72 years old and has stuttered since I was a young child I could related to his personal journey to find his path out of "the Forest of Stuttering" and to encourage others to seek their own path and to realize they also are so very much MORE than their Stutter.

    pure narcissism

Micheal Turner has been making self absorbed films for a number of years now. Every project he makes has a stunning similarity, that the essence of the project always revolves around himself.

This speaks volumes to the disposable way he sees others and his eagerness to commodify, package, and sell the experiences of others. All of course, without sharing the profit of his exploitation.

It's a predatory type of film making coupled with a half hazard film making style that is underdeveloped and naive. The end result is essentially a hallmark of entitlement and distinctly unpalatable.
