Near the beginning of the film the watchman (who kicks the cat) spots an island off the starboard (right) side of the ship, when the Captain is awoken he is sleeping in his room at the back of the ship, he picks up his telescope and looks out of the open window on the port (left) side of the ship and sees the same island.
When Robinson is practicing his marksmanship he has a stack of muskets, he gives it "one more try" and shoots the ace playing card, he then declares he is going to find something to eat and lifts the musket up menacingly and walks off, he doesn't reload the musket before it being shown as loaded in the next scene.
